Romi Carrell Wittman, MBA

Prof. Wittman has more than 20 years' experience in executive leadership with a focus on marketing and communications. She has taught in the Organizational Leadership Program for more than 10 years and has served as the Program Director for the past two years. In 2019, she was named the UA South Faculty of the Year, an award given to faculty who demonstrate innovative teaching practices and exceptional commitment to students as well as the University.

Prof. Wittman holds a Master of Business Administration from the UA's Eller Graduate School of Management. In addition, she holds a bachelor of science in business administration with a dual major in marketing and entrepreneurship.

Prior to joining the University as full-time faculty, Prof. Wittman was the chief marketing and communications officer for Arizona Public Media, the Southern Arizona affiliate of PBS 6 and National Public Radio. Previously she helmed the marketing and communications department for an electric utility serving 46,000 customers with annual revenues of $88 million. Her expertise lies in marketing strategy including digital marketing, internal and external communications, as well as public and media relations.  

Prof. Wittman is very active in the community and serves on the executive committee for Greater Tucson Leadership, a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to providing leadership education, community development and civic engagement for the overall care of and commitment to the Tucson community. She also writes professionally, regularly contributing to BizTucson Magazine and Tucson Lifestyle Magazine.
